How Our Free Tree Quote Service Works
One call, one local provider, one free quote. Here's every step.
Toledo Tree Trimming is a free phone referral service. We don't trim trees ourselves. When you call (419) 820-4750, you're connected with an independent tree care provider who works in the Toledo area. Here's exactly what happens, start to finish.
1. You call
Dial (419) 820-4750. Calls are recorded, and we don't sell your number to a list of companies.
2. You describe the job
A few details help a lot: your address or neighborhood, what kind of tree it is, and what's worrying you. If a tree is on your house or a limb is hanging over where people walk, say it's urgent.
3. You're connected with a local tree pro
Your details go to an independent tree care provider who serves your area. Expect them to ask questions like these:
- What's your address, and is the tree in your yard or the tree lawn?
- What kind of tree is it, and about how tall?
- What do you want done: trimming, removal, stump grinding, storm cleanup?
- Is anything under it, like the house, a garage, a fence or wires?
- How would a truck get close? Is there a septic field, a soft or wet lawn, or a narrow gate in the way?
4. You get a free on-site quote
The provider looks at the tree in person, explains what they'd do and why, and gives you a price. The quote is free and there's no obligation. Ask for it in writing, with which limbs come off, how they'll protect your lawn, whether cleanup and hauling are included, and when they can start.
5. You decide
Take your time. Ask questions. Get other quotes if you want. If you go ahead, you'll schedule the work directly with the provider and pay them directly. You never pay Toledo Tree Trimming anything.
6. The work gets done
On the day, a good crew will usually:
- Walk the job with you and confirm what's being cut.
- Lay down ground mats or plywood where heavy equipment crosses the lawn.
- Set up cones or tarps to protect your driveway, beds and patio.
- Do the cutting, chipping and cleanup in the quote.
- Do a final walk-through with you before they leave.
How to prepare
- Move cars, grills, patio furniture and planters out of the work area.
- Keep pets and kids inside.
- Unlock gates and point out sprinkler heads, buried dog fences and septic tanks or leach fields.
- Give your neighbors a heads-up if the crew needs to cross or work near their yard.
- For a Toledo street tree, get the free city permit first. See our permit guide.
If something goes wrong
Talk to the provider first. Most problems, like a missed limb, leftover debris or a rut in the lawn, get fixed with one phone call, especially if the written quote spelled out the work. Because the provider is an independent business, any agreement for the work is between you and them. For serious problems, the Ohio Attorney General's Consumer Protection Section takes complaints about home improvement contractors.
Who pays for this service?
The provider does. They may pay Toledo Tree Trimming a fee for the calls they receive. That fee doesn't get added to your quote. Read our full referral disclosure.
